This listing is for a working vintage Sampson Eight Lever padlock with key. The padlock has a lovely aged-brass patina, and the Corbin-made key has a small amount of tarnish, as can be expected with an item of its age. Both the lock and key were made in the USA.
While this lock works, and can successfully be opened with the key, there is a slight ‘learning curve.’ The key must be inserted, turned clockwise, and then turned back counter clockwise in order for the levers to allow the lock to open. Once you master the ‘feel’ of this with practice, the lock is no issue to open at all.
The dimensions of the padlock are approximately 2.5” wide, 3.5” in length (top to bottom), and 1cm in height. The key is about 1.75” in length.
