This SMS meerschaum pipe is hand carved from 100% Solid Block Meerschaum that was imported from central Turkey. Once carved, each meerschaum pipe is soaked in beeswax to protect the delicate stone and ensure that it will develop an even patina with smoking and handling. Over time, the color of the meerschaum bowl will deepen into a deep yellow/brown that is sought after by the most discerning pipe collectors. The stem is made of a special 'Amberoid Acrylic' for classic looks and long-lasting durability. Since each meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved, no two pipes are exactly the same.
This elegant, half-bent shaped pipe comes in a custom-fitted black leather and velvet lined hinged case, which is made unique to this individual pipe.
