Achilles Rubber Stamp Carousel – Holds One Dozen Stamps – Vintage, Holder, Rack, Rotating, Metal, Mint Condition, Office, Organization, Desk
Manufactured by the R. A. Stewart & Co. of New York, these rotating Achilles stamp carousels were at one time considered a ubiquitous and necessary addition to one's desk in a typical work or home office. This particular model has a 12-stamp capacity, and assuredly still operates as originally intended.
Although we were unable to pinpoint the exact date of production for this particular Achilles rack, there is no doubt about the fact that it has been well taken care of over the years, as both the metal and the paint shines like it was just recently completed. There is a bit of patina, and the beautiful black paint with gold-edge striping does show some signs of wear (minor chips and/or surface crackling and flaking), but this is to be expected with an antique piece that has been lovingly used for many years. Overall, this piece is in excellent condition.
